The difficulty of writing rhetorical summary that I faced

At the start of the College writing 2. I felt confident that the course would go smoothly for me because I had taken Collage writing 1 and it was not easy for me, but in the end, I felt that it was all easy, but I was a baby about it. The first project we did was the documentary movie summary. This project went so smooth that made me happy and confident that this semester would be an easy A. But I was wrong. When we started the rhetorical summary, I felt the pain in writing and focusing at the same time. I have never written something that needs that amount of focusing. ANd I realized that when Dr.Kyburz told us to focus on one passage of an article for a whole day! I said no way this is too much for me! But I realized the importance of this and started writing as hard as possible. I have never summarized an article ever in my life! And that made me freak out a little bit, but when I accomplished the task I said I did it!

My takeaway from this incident is that I always believe that I can't accomplish anything just by hearing it. But when you actually start typing and revising it becomes simple. It is still the length of the project and the number of instructions and rules in writing that makes many students freak out. But just drink a cup of coffee and start typing and all of it would be easy! I hope the students in my class would do an excellent job in writing because writing is essential in college. It is what makes us explain a problem and what makes us fix problems!
