Solar energy in Saudi Arabia

In the past decade, most of the countries didn’t use renewable energy. Instead, they used various sources of energy like fossil fuels. Countries see solar panels as expensive equipment, so they’re not encouraged to buy it. Other countries like Saudi Arabia are very focused on fossil fuels. And other countries don’t use solar panels because they don’t get sunlight which will end up at a higher cost than profit which means loss. Fortunately, in the recent decades, countries that have sunshine often started to implement and bring investors to build solar panels and start using renewable energy to help the environment and save themselves from relying on one type of energy.
In my home country, Saudi Arabia. Fortunately, the new crown prince of Saudi Arabia with the Japanese SoftBank signed an agreement to build the largest solar panel installation in the world in Saudi Arabia. The cost of the project is $200 billion, and it will produce 200 gigawatts. This project can impact the economy profoundly except the oil prices because Saudi Arabia wouldn’t use oil when they have that size of energy. Vehicles that use Gas would be affected eventually due to oil price change. People can use fossil fuels, but it would be more economical for them to use solar energy because electricity bills will be high. Saudi Arabia is sunny 24/7 Why wouldn’t they use this gift from the environment? The demand for renewable energy will increase in the future because someday, oil will vanish.
